Social Dancing is currently on hold. After eight years of running this monthly dance, we need a break to sort out other life situations.
We will be back at some point, thank you all for your enthusiasm and support that made this dance so great.

There is nothing quite like being in a big dance hall surrounded by swing dancers, a hot swing band filling the air with rhythm, people laughing and smiling from ear to ear, no thoughts of anything outside of the room. A connection with the music and your dance partner that defies words. This is what we live for!
Swing On High - Our Monthly Social Dance!
We get together on the third Saturday of each month to share the love!
DJ Rusty and the best live swing bands in Melbourne will keep the swingiest swing tunes pumping out so you can go crazy all night and leave absolutely exhausted…. (but really really happy).
Below is a list of our dates and swing bands we have organised to play just for you!
In our DJ sets, we will delight you with a mix of authentic original songs right out of the swing eras from the 1920s to the early 1950s, some awesome remastered versions, wonderful new recordings in premium sound from the swing bands of today, some classic neo-swing, paying homage to the musicians who rescued this music from near extinction and some electro-swing, just because it is so much fun! It really is a mash up of everything, and it just works. Rusty is always ready to take requests or find what you want for next time.
The crowd we attract comes from far and wide, many travelling down from country Victoria and all over Melbourne. We always welcome interstate or international visitors with open arms and a queue of potential dance partners. We encourage people to meet each other with fun ruedas and other progressive dances. Lots of door prizes, Birthday steal dances, A good ‘ol Shim Sham and other strolls, we may even throw in a Killer Boogie!
Our music ranges in tempo from a bluesy 90 bpm (beats per minute) through to a blistering 250+ bpm for STFO with Lindy Hop, Shag or Balboa.
Most songs range from about 115-180 bpm, we vary the speeds often and we dance all the swing dances. Rock and Roll dancers will feel very much at home here!
